We have always been lovers of the beautiful mountainous Priorato, but often disappointed with the wine making and indeed pricing.
Enter Joseph Puig and winemaking daughter Silvia and there 11 hectares.
Joseph set Torres Chile up from scratch, later co-founded Cellers Puig y Roca (of Augustus fame) and Silvia’s winemaking credentials include spells at Magaña and Alión.
They make some rather wonderful wines, including Akyles Macabeo 2009
Odysseus PX 2009 (a white dry P.X.!) Odysseus Garnacha Blanca 09 and, for the reds Akyles 07 and Odysseus 2005.
