The Castell del Remei estate was founded in 1780 and consists of more than 400 hectares with 80 dedicated to vine growing the estate also includes a castle a church a restaurant wine cellarsan olive and a flour mill an old distillery a barrel workshop and all the original family buildings that made it a self contained community.In 1982 the Cusine family bought the estate and with considerable investment started restoring and modernizing the estate.

Tasting Note: 

Dark cherry in hue this is a lively vigorous aromatic red with vivid red cherry fruit and attractive spicy and slightly resinous overtones. Well balanced and smooth a reflection of its high proportion of Tempranillo it has good acidity velvety mouth feel and a satisfying lingeringly peppery finish.
