Situated in the foothills of the Cordillera Catalana, the terrain is fairley level, and the soils are mainly brown limestone with high proportions of lime, chalk and granite, with a little clay and organic matter. Plantings of local varieties such as Tempranillo (locally known as Ull de Llebre) and Garnacha are complemented with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, planted in the early '80.
